Samba: Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, Police on Friday arrested a bootlegger and recovered twenty four bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.
Acting on a tip-off about sale of illicit liquor in Govind Garh area, a police party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO Ramgarh rushed to the spot and caught red-handed the accused person from his own ‘Khokha’ selling illicit liquor to the general public in the area and recovered 24 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each from his possession.
The accused person identified as Hardev Singh, son of Tasveer Singh, resident of Govind Garh has been arrested and FIR No. 21/2024 under sections 48 (F) Excise Act was registered against him in Police Station Ramgarh.
