REASI: Police on Friday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 37 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, a team of police personnel headed by Amod Ashok Nagpure, SHO Police Station Reasi under the supervision of Mohan Lal, Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi apprehended one person namely Sobha Ram son of Pothu Ram resident of Bakkal, Tehsil and District Reasi at main Bus Stand Reasi and recovered 29 pouches of liquor of J and K Excise measuring 250/250 ml each and eight pouches of liquor of J and K Excise measuring 375/375 ml each making in all 37 poly pouches of liquor from his possession.
The accused person was carrying the liquor for its illegal sale in his native village. A case under FIR No.99/2015 section 48-A Excise Act was registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation is in progress.
