Kathua: Police on Friday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 39 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, a police patrolling party of Police Station Bani nabbed one person with 39 pouches of J and K Excise liquor in the main market of Bani area. The accused was identified as Teju Ram son of Roop Sain resident of Sadroon Tehsil Bani. A case vide FIR No. 29/2016 under section 48(A)Excise Act was registered at Police Station Bani. The operation was conducted by SHO Bani Inspr. Suresh Gautam under the supervision of Dy SP Shivender Singh ,SDPO Basohli.
