KISHTWAR: Panic was gripped in Kishtwar in wee hours when some locals spotted the body of newly born male child, found lying in the backyard of District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar.
After receiving information, police party from Police Station Kishtwar led by SHO Sameer Jeelani rushed to the spot and took the body in police custody. Police also registered an FIR and started further investigation.
When contacted, DC Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan said that he has directed Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar to provide detailed information as per the record and asked the hospital authorities to cooperate with police in investigation.
