SAMBA: PG Department of Blood Transfusion Medicine, Government Medical College Jammu in collaboration with J and K State AIDS Prevention and Control Society, Jammu and Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu organised a blood donation camp in association with HDFC Bank at Bhargava College of Education Samba on Thursday.
Mubarakh Singh DC Samba was the Chief Guest on the occasion and he inaugurated the camp. Blood donors from the HDFC Bank Samba and the college participated in the camp and donated blood voluntarily. Donors were screened by medical officer along with his team from GMC Jammu before donation. Donors were also educated about various aspects of blood donation and prevention of HIV. Blood Mobile Van was deputed for the camp. About 25 units of blood were collected in the camp.
