JAMMU: Hundreds of enthusiastic activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Tuesday took out an impressive Tiranga bike rally under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
The bike rally was flagged off by the, former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, Mayor Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta, former ministers Sat Sharma, Priya Sethi, State Vice President Yudhvir Sethi and other senior leaders of BJP from Hari Niwas and it culminated at Balidan Stambh after passing through various markets of Jammu city.
Addressing a large gathering of BJP workers and BJYM activists, Kavinder said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated like a ‘Diwali’ and it has now become a national festival.
“It was a historic day when BJYM activists hoisted Tricolour at Lal Chowk Srinagar and they deserve all appreciation for the rally which has now been inscribed in golden words of history. This has been made possible only because of strong and capable leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Gupta said.
The former deputy chief minister said that the campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ has now become a national movement and he was confident that the target of hoisting the National Flag atop over 20 crore households across the country to unify people would even cross 30 crore households.
“Our country has emerged as a strong nation at international level and it is only because the country has got a strong and dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister. In this new India, youth has a definite role to play,” he said.
In his address, BJYM state president Arun Prabhat said that the fast-changing Jammu and Kashmir is a good sign for the people, especially youths because they now feel that there are no restrictions on unfurling Tricolour and singing national anthem in any part of Jammu and Kashmir.
“It also shows that tricolour flies and thrives in the heart of every resident of Jammu Kashmir. Jammu is the soil of warriors where the people have never hesitated to sacrifice their lives in the honour of Tricolour. Till now, unfurling Tricolour at Lal Chowk Srinagar was being considered as a crime but it is the strong leadership of the Prime Minister that there is no place in Jammu Kashmir now where Tricolour is not being unfurled,” Prabhat said.
“The rally will inculcate a sense of nationalism and patriotism among the people. The objective of holding a rally up to Balidan Stamb is that the BJYM activists would not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the honour of the Tricolour. We appeal to the people to hoist Tricolour atop their houses without any caste, creed and religion,” the BJYM chief said.
Former Minister Priya Sethi also made a passionate appeal to the people to unfurl the National Flag atop their houses to mark the celebration of 75 years of Independence.
