BJP-PDP coalition pursuing anti-national agenda of secessionists: Harsh

 STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Peeved over the deteriorating situation in J and K and the State Government’s surrender to the dictates of secessionists, scores of JKNPP activists on Monday led by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Yash Paul Kundal State President Young Panthers staged a massive protest seeking immediate dissolution of J and K Assembly and imposition of Governor Rule in the State.
The angry protestors assembled at Exhibition Ground here and raised slogans against the BJP-PDP coalition and torched its effigy for its failures and surrenders.
Expressing serious concern over no signs of government on the ground in the State for the last six months, Harsh lampooned the government for having failed to respond appropriately to the situation created in the wake of killing of Hizb Commander Burhan Wani in the Valley and the resultant turbulence witnessed in the State.
He regretted that the anarchy had led to assault on Shri Amarnath pilgrims, civil unrest, clashes, shut downs, public attacks on police stations and security forces in Kashmir, death and destruction, sympathy with the families of militants, release of stone pelters, etc.
He said that the ministers despicably abdicating their public duties and undergoing hibernation had allowed the situation to further deteriorate as the separatists, subversives and anti nationals had virtually taken control of the situation by running a parallel government in the State.
Lambasting the State Government for clearing ex-gratia to the next of the kin of Burhan Wani’s brother Khalid Wani who was an OGW of Hizbul Mujahideen, Harsh accused the BJP partnered dispensation for appeasing and placating the secessionists of the Valley.
He said that the State Government had categorically invalidated the claims of the army that Khalid was a militant to which the BJP rendered itself mute and barefaced for remaining glued to power.
He added that on the contrary, the dispensation paid no heed to provide ex-gratia to the NoK of martyrs who had attained supreme sacrifice while confronting worse Pak sponsored terror attacks and persistent heavy mortar shelling from across the border.
Likewise, he said, the State Government once again jeopardised the conferment of Domicile Certificates to nearly 1.5 lakh West Pakistan Refugees who were divested of PRC rights.
Singh admonished BJP-PDP combine for taking U-turn following the voices of opposition from the Kashmiri separatists over the issue by announcing substitution of Domicile Certificates by Identity Certificates for the WPRs.
He regretted the surrender of BJP-PDP cover Sainik Colonies and separate KP Townships under pressure of separatists.
He said while the mortification of defence personnel had demoralised the Indian Army, the betrayal with the patriotic refugees had dented the aspirations of the Dogras which were no less than a national sacrilege. He said that the criminal silence of the BJP had proved that the secessionists were ruling the roost with their blackmailing dictates. He said that the prevailing situation in the State called for immediate dissolution of J and K Assembly and imposition of Governor Rule under Sec 92 of the State’s Constitution to save it from further destruction. Alleging collapse of law and order with the State Government failing to address the grievances of the people, Harsh divulged that the residents of forward hamlets facing cross border firing had suffered a huge loss of life, property, crops and cattle stock due to non provision of shelters at safer zones. He said that since the assurances of ‘Achey Din’ and ‘Healing Touch’ have fallen flat, the government must go in the interest of the people and the State. Among those who spoke on the occasion included Rajesh Padgotra, Gagan Partap, Naresh Chib, Purshotam Parihar, Nirmal Kishore, Raj Kumar, K.K Sharma, Udhayveer, Mohinder Singh, Arun Sharma, Ravinder Jamwal and Sansar Chand.
