BJP, NC, Cong exploited people for vote bank: Wani

JAMMU: State President, Jammu and Kashmir State Samaj Sudhar Committee, Mohammad Yousuf Wani lambasted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), National Conference (NC) and Congress for exploiting people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, Wani said that BJP has always raised issue of abrogation of Art 370 during elections of 2008 and now during 2014 in order to gain vote bank.
Article 370 is the identity of the general masses of Jammu and Kashmir State as such no political party shall be allowed to damage the provisions of Article 370, Wani said and appealed to the general masses of the State to straightway reject such party candidates who spoke about Article 370’s abrogation.
Blaming NC-Congress Coalition Government, Wani said that the government has failed in mitigating the sufferings of the general masses of the State.
Expressing concern over the recent incident of death of two youth who died due to negligence of traffic personnel, Wani appealed to the Director General of Police for taking stern action against the erring traffic personnel responsible for death.
Expressed concern over the lack of vigil by the government authorities in checking encroachments over government lands, Wani said that some vested interested Gujjars and Bakkerwals are indulging in land grabbing as they have managed to encroach upon the government lands along banks of River Tawi. Wani appealed to the concerned department to take immediate steps to evict unlawful occupants of government lands.
Prominent leaders who were present in the press conference were Mohan Choudhary, Raj Sharma, Rishi Singh, Manzoor Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Santosh Devi and Abdul Razak.
