BJP Govt committed to welfare of people: Dy CM

JAMMU: BJP Government at the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi as well as in the State is committed for the welfare of people.
This was stated by Dr Nirmal Singh, Deputy Chief Minister while sharing his views during the Public Darbar held at Party Headquarters here on Saturday. BJP State General Secretary, Dr Narinder Singh also accompanied the Deputy CM during the Darbar.
“The Mantra of BJP is Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas and the Party is committed to mitigate problems faced by public,” Dr Nirmal said, adding that the aim of conducting Public Darbar is to address public grievances at grass root level and BJP will conduct these type of programmes on a regular basis where public can come and approach for any type of problem.
“Infrastructure for the provision of 24X7electricity in the region is not a problem even though it needs the active cooperation of common masses with the PDD Department by regularisation of connections and paying timely dues,” he added.
More than 50 deputations from different regions like Bishnah, R.S Pura, Gandhi Nagar and Jammu West, etc. visited the Party Headquarters to discuss and present their problems. The deputations apprised the Deputy Chief Minister about their problems likely installation and repair of electricity transformers, water scarcity, roads and others. The deputations including Plus Two lecturers, Rehri/Phari Association, All J&K Casual/Daily Wagers’ Union of PDD requested for DPC to consider conversion/promotion cases of then PDL’s/TDL’s who have completed seven years of service.
The Deputy Chief Minister sorted out many of their problems on the spot by telephonically interacting with the competent authority and forwarded the others to concerned departments with written instructions for their quick disposal. The programme was coordinated by State Secretary and State In-Charge Election Related Matters, Rajinder Sharma and Additional Office Secretary, Suresh Sharma.
