JAMMU: Soon after seeing off Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the public rally at Kishtwar on Saturday, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh resumed his election campaign in the Assembly Constituencies going to poll in the first and second phase of elections.
Addressing an impressive public rally at Sungri of Gulabgarh Assembly Constituency in district Reasi, Singh said that BJP is committed to ensure fair deal and justice for the minorities. As evidence, he cited the example of Gulabgarh Constituency, where BJP had put up a Sikh candidate even though the constituency consisted of a mixed population of all communities and castes.
For BJP, Singh said, justice is the only religion and therefore, its main emphasis will be to ensure equitable distribution of State resources to all sections of society, so that nobody has an opportunity to complain that he or she has been discriminated simply because of belonging to a particular community or caste.
In a State like Jammu and Kashmir, said Dr. Jitendra Singh, different regions have different community compositions, and therefore, in whatever region a particular community is in minority, special caution will be exercised to take care of its sensitivities.
Singh said that BJP will endeavour to create an administrative setup which offers opportunities to every youth depending on his ability, diligence and expertise. Youth power is the biggest resource of the State of Jammu and Kashmir but unfortunately large majority of youth are migrating out of the State to look for job opportunities in other places, he observed and added, BJP will endeavour to correct this anomaly.
