 STATE TIMES NEWS
UDHAMPUR: MLA Udhampur Pawan Gupta on Friday sought BJP’s rejoinder on the serious allegations leveled against its ministers for their involvement in transporting demonetised currency in their official vehicles besides glaring examples of its party-men’s indulgence in cases of corruption, land scams, etc.
In a handout issued to media fraternity, the MLA asserted that the corruption free and anti black money drive initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being scuttled by none else but his own hierarchy and persons in Government in the State as the Pradesh BJP has miserably failed to clarify its stand on the purported verity of allegations figuring in press as well as social media about the alleged incidents of corruption, land scams as well as abuse of official position in creating transfer industry in the State administration besides purported interception of de-monetised currency in the official vehicles attached with the BJP Ministers. He alleged that circumstances bear testimony to the fact that the Pradesh BJP has divorced its fundamental principles of value based politics well established by its founding fathers Dr. Shayma Prashad Mookerjee, Pt. Deen Dyal Upadhaya, Pt. Prem Nath Dogra, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishan Advani.
“On one hand the State BJP expelled its seven MLAs on the mere allegations of cross voting but on the other it is sitting mute despite wild allegations of corruption, nepotism and abuse of power which was never expected from this disciplined party”, he maintained. He anticipated that the Pradesh BJP shall come clean with due clarification of its stand and take all steps to salvage its dented image by holding proper inquiry and punishing the guilty.
