BJP betrayed mandate of people for power: Bhalla

JAMMU: Former Minister and Vice President JKPCC, Raman Bhalla accused the Modi government for derailing the economy of the country to hide their failures to come to the expectations of people who were promised for Achhe Din.
Congress held an open discussion questioning the demonetisation and apprised the public about the adverse effects of the Notebandi in the country which has affected each and every section of the society.
A large number of Congress workers led by DCC Jammu Urban under the leadership of Anil Chopra at Maheshpura Chowk Jammu apprised the general public about the adverse impact of this move. The programme was part of twenty-day long campaign ‘Chaurahe-pe-Charcha’ held in all Assembly Constituencies of Province as per directions of AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi to educate the masses about the demonetisation to expose Modi Government’s failure.
Bhalla questioned the BJP for their criminal silence to the anti-people policies of the Coalition Government in the State, as the party has surrendered all its slogans and sentiments and rights of the people for the lust of power. He said BJP has gone bankrupt, as it has surrendered its agenda and compromised the interests of people of Jammu region for the sake of chair and even swallowed the humiliation on Article 370 by their ally terming it as most anti-national demand. He said what worst can happen to BJP who is shamelessly continuing in coalition, facing all sorts of humiliation.
The BJP has accepted the most unjustified decisions of their partner for the sake of sharing power, which speaks of the principles of BJP in politics, who claimed to be champions of the people of Jammu region and the only real nationalists, he added.
Kanta Bhan Vice President PCC, General Secretaries Th. Manmohan Singh and Vikram Malhotra raised questions about the demonetisation, which has failed the economy and the nation and caused great hardships to the common people. They highlighted the failures of the BJP on all fronts and their surrendered the interests of the people by sell out of the mandate of people of Jammu.
Several other prominent leaders and activists who addressed the gathering include B.B Gupta, Dr. Rama Kant Khajuria, Sunil Kumar, Chanchal Popli, Gourav Chopra, Ashwani Handa, P.S Chouhan, Naresh Maini, Rashpal Singh, J.L Koul, Pawan Sharma, Arun Singh, Vijay Malhotra, Balbir Singh, Ashu Mehra, Pushpa Devi, Gourav Kapoor, Karuna, Padamni Langeh, Pawan Dev Singh, Sardar Singh, Praveen Singh, Raman Sharma, Vijay Shama, Navneet Singh, Pradeep Bhagat, Bodh Raj, Dewan Chand and Rakesh Bhagat.
