BILLAWAR: National Conference candidate from Billawar Assembly Constituency Romy Khajuria on Wednesday cautioned the people against divisive politics, saying development has no substitute in Jammu and Kashmir which craves for shinning as a progressive and prosperous State.
Addressing an election meeting at Kandhamu, Khajuria said the past six years of Omar led government have been marked with unprecedented development, especially in far off and remote areas.
“This single feature has become eye-sore for the opponents who had no agenda but to incite passions of the people by indulging in falsehood and misinformation campaign”, he added.
Khajuria exhorted the people to foil the machinations of those who were dividing the society on communal and regional lines. He accused BJP and Congress of vitiating the atmosphere and said the people will give them a befitting reply through their power of vote.
Several National Conference leaders sought vote for Khajuria, saying this will be endorsement to massive initiative taken during the past six years for steering Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to new heights of development
