BILLAWAR: Modern Dangal Committee Gurhah Kalyal, Tehsil Billawar, district Kathua organised a Dangal in which 85 bouts were played in the presence of over 20 thousand audience.
Bhupinder of Haryana, the 75th title winner on Tuesday defeated Satnam of Mashiwadha and won a cash award of Rs 31,000 in the first bout.
The second bout was played between Kulbir from Jammu and Lakhwinder from Punjab which remained undecided even after 30 minutes long contest and the bout was decided draw with an amount of Rs 21,000 as prize money.
The third bout was played between Gurvinder from Punjaband Narinder from Ajnala in which Narinder was declared winner and a cash prize of Rs 15,000 was paid to him.
Shiva from Dina Nagar, Sunny from Himachal, Amit from Delhi and Vicky from Sialma Billawar, were adjudged as outstanding performers.
Members of the Organising Committee of Dangal included Randhir Singh Kotwal, Dr Tara Chand Verma, Babu Ram Verma, Krishan Chand Padha, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, Mohd Rafiq, Hardev Singh, Shi Dass, Mohan Lal Choudhary, Shiv Ram Verma, Ali Mohd Sheikh, Vipan Kumar Sharma and Puran Singh Rajwal.
