The Migrants Committee led by Balwan Singh, Chairman Jammu Migrant Committee (JMC) and Jagdev Singh, President (JMC) joined the procession taken out to honour Bhim Singh. Bhim Singh, however, accused the Government of J&K for misleading the High Court on the number of Jammu migrant families. He said that Government has filed a written reply before the legislative council in 2006 stating the total number of families of Jammu migrants as 2100. The State Government has played fraud by mentioning only 900 families who have not been given any relief. He said that the Panthers Party shall file a contempt petition before the Supreme Court for playing fraud and cheating the public. He said that the Government headed by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has raised the payment of the Kashmiri Migrant from Rs. 1600 to Rs. 4000 whereas the Government has determined the relief for the Jammu migrants at the old rate. Bhim Singh urged the Governor N. N. Vohra for his urgent intervention so that the Jammu Migrants shall get a relief at par with the Kashmiri Migrants.
