Bhim accuses J&K Govt for ignoring border residents

MENDHAR: Expressing solidarity with the residents residing in the border districts like Poonch and Rajouri, Chief Patron National Panthers Party (NPP), Bhim Singh on Friday accused the J and K Government for ignoring the plight of the residents in the border districts of Jammu Province. Bhim urged the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to withdraw the notice on passport problems being faced by the youth of Rajouri and Poonch. “The Election Commission in connivance with J and K Government has issued a notification not to issue passport to the residents of Rajouri and Poonch who have been offered work in the Gulf countries.” Bhim said adding that the ban is on the boys who have not qualified high school. Opposing this rule, Bhim urged Union Home Minister to intervene so that the fundamental right to movement is not stooped by the J and K Government.
Bhim Singh along with senior party leaders was addressing a public meeting in Mendhar. He also accused the State Government for ignoring the developmental works in the border districts of Jammu.
Bhim Singh was accompanied by Anita Thakur State General Secretary, Tariq Khan, State Secretary, Ashfaq Rana District President Poonch, Kuldeep Sharma District Vice-President and Saleem Sheikh General Secretary Young Panthers. A committee of Mendhar Block was also reconstituted.
