Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sanasthan stages musical play ‘Doli’

JAMMU: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sanasthan (BLSKS) staged 25th musical play ‘Doli’ in collaboration with Ek Saath Rang Mandal (ESRM) and Unison Cultural Troupe, as parts of its regular feature here on Saturday.
The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department while V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, GoI, Dr. Anju Dogra, Health Department, Vinod Dogra and Vijay Malla Producer and Director IPTA were the Guests of honour.
Charak underlined the importance of staging such plays to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils. He said that theatre is still a very powerful medium of communication.
Charak urged the artists/cultural organisations to contribute in enriching the cultural heritage and inspiring the younger generation to follow the footprints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the nation.
The play was written, produced and directed by M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS. The play deals with the ills of child marriage and associated issues.
A team of 40 artists/professionals associated with BLSKS undertook three months rigorous coaching to present the play which will be staged across State in the coming months.
The artists participated in play include Zulekha Farid, Parkiti Sharma, Hitanshu Jinsi, Harjinder Kour, Anu Pandita, Nitin Pandita, Rakshit Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Druv, Bodh Raj, Anantika, Abhi, Shiban, Archna, J.K Koul, K.K Joshi, Asha Zaroo, Kamli, Rajveer, Devam Jandiyal, Rahul Wanchoo, Mohammad Afroz, Pummy, Neelam, Kamli, Kuldeep, Shiv Kumar, Suraj, Kumla, Vinay Suri, Lalita Bakya, Raj Kumar, J.K Koul, Usha Raina, Asha Zaroo, M.C Kotwal, Vijay Malla, Usha Raina, Hem Raj, Hem Raj, Pummy, K.K Joshi and M.C Kotwal.
