Bhargav wins Masters’ Hockey trophy

JAMMU: Beating Legends 7-6 in a well fought contest, Bhargav Sports Club clinched the title trophy of the Chaar Sahibzaade (Masters) Hockey Cup that took place at Bhargav Public School grounds, here on Sunday.
Leading 4-3 in the first half of the play, Bhargav spared no chance for the opponent to level the score with the result both sides added three goals each to their tally thus making it a final 7-6 score on the board.
Former General Secretary of District Gurudwara Prabandak Committee (DGPC), Surjeet Singh was the Chief Guest, who along with Guest of Honours, Assistant Registrar, University of Jammu, Rajinder Singh and ex-Director School Education, Ravinder Singh gave away the title trophy and other individual prizes.
The closely contested game among the veteran players was officiated by the technical panel comprising Jaswinder Singh, Shaksham Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Rajveer Singh and Madur.
Organised jointly by the veteran players, this tournament held under the overall supervision of Organising Secretary, P.P Singh.
