Bhalla visits Ramgarh border migrant camp

JAMMU: Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports Raman Bhalla on Friday visited various camps in Nanga village of Ramgarh in Vijaypur established for border migrants who have been severely hit by the shelling from across the border.
Bhalla asked Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Vijaypur to ensure foolproof arrangements in the temporary shelters like medical facilities, food, drinking water, electricity, transportation etc for the migrated families.
The minister directed for ensuring adequate arrangements for the treatment of the injured in Ramgarh hospital.
Bhalla asked for constructing bunkers in the border areas which could be utilised by the border area people in the hour of need. He also asked for establishing camps for cattle where arrangements of fodder and medical treatment be also ensured.
Bhalla directed the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Vijaypur and Tehsildar to provide daily report regarding loss of life and property and other damages due to border firing to ensure that hindrance free relief is provided to the people.
The minister asked the Transport Department to provide transport facilities to move people from their villages to camps. He said that the State Government is always with them in this crucial situation.
The minister expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families and injured and assured them all help from State Government in shape of ex-gratia relief to next kin of border firing victims and injured besides taking measures for their protection.
Later, Bhalla also visited Ramgarh hospital and enquired about the health of border firing injured. He asked the hospital authorities to provide best possible treatment to them for their early recovery.
