Bhalla greets people on Eid-ul-Adha, prays for peace, prosperity in UT

JAMMU: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla on Thursday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the union territory. In this regard Bhalla visited various Eidgahs including Malik Market in Narwal, Macca Masjid in Bathindi and Digiana. In his message, Bhalla said, “As the Muslim Ummah unites to observe Eid-ul-Adha, I take this opportunity to extend my warm greetings to everyone on the blessed and auspicious occasion.
“On this day, it is imperative for all of us to prioritize the poor and deserving by doing everything possible to bring smiles on their faces. The core philosophy of the day evokes deep concern for the needy and offers us a window of opportunity to alleviate the plight of the poor and destitute and imbue ourselves with the spirit of compassion, generosity, empathy and care. May the day provide relief to the beleaguered people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and rid them of all the tribulations and problems they are facing,” he said.
Bhalla further said that auspicious day of Eid Al Azha stresses on the need for equality of mankind, God-consciousness, generosity, almsgiving and peaceful coexistence of the entire humankind. I hope and pray that the day strengthens the cord of brotherhood between the different communities in J&K and Ladakh. I also hope that the day acts as a harbinger of healthier times and much-needed peace and stability to the entire region.”
Bhalla reminded people of the “real essence of Eid” and said, “The day demanded to remember the poor and needy and share the happiness with them.” Seeking divine intervention in fostering peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir, Bhalla reminded the people to remember the orphans and destitute who crave for attention and support on such holy occasions and celebrations. He also requested the people to pray for J&K’s peace and prosperity on this revered occasion.
Bhalla said the government must ensure adequate facilities for the public, especially the availability of electricity, and rations. He also urged that the salaries of employees and financial assistance of old-aged, widows and others be released on a priority basis.Bhalla said “Eid embeds the message of remembering economically downtrodden and underprivileged people.” He appealed to the people to make them the part of Eid celebration by extending financial and other support to them. He also urged the people to avoid wastage of food and resources and be conscious towards their neighbours, orphans and the needy.
