Bhaichara T-20 Cricket Tourney: Udhampur DM-XI defeats CAPF-XI

UDHAMPUR: Udhampur DM-XI on Tuesday marked its third consecutive win in the ongoing Bhaichara T-20 Cricket Tournament hosted under Ops Sadhbhavana by the 71 Sub Area Udhampur on behalf of Northern Command Udhampur.
The Udhampur DM-XI, after winning the toss, elected to bat first. Uttam Palsar and Azam Khan showcased their prowess with the bat, each contributing 35 runs, while Ashwani Kotwal added 19 to the total. Vikram and Sahil Verma set the stage ablaze with aggressive innings of 24 runs in 9 balls and 10 runs in 4 balls respectively, guiding their team to a formidable total of 180, in the stipulated 20 overs.
In response, CAPF-XI struggled to keep up, falling short by 42 runs with a total of only 148 runs on the board. Rahul, Godara, and Saddam displayed good resistance, scoring 19, 35, and 34 runs respectively. Ashwani Kotwal and Nipun emerged as the chief tormentors, snatching three wickets each, while Sahil Verma contributed with two crucial scalps.
Ashwani Kotwal rightfully earned the title of Man of the Match for his stellar performance, contributing with both bat and ball, taking three crucial wickets and scoring 19 runs.
Under the adept guidance of Rafiq Jaral, SDM Ramnagar, the entire DM-XI team showcased exemplary skills and teamwork, securing a well-deserved victory.
