Bhagat Singh Club beats Shaheen Football in Pt PN Dogra Football Gold Cup

JAMMU: Bhagat Singh Club Punjab trounced Shaheen Football Club (3-2) in a match played during first Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Football Gold Cup Tournament on the basis of penalty kicks here at Parade Ground on Thursday.
Sunil Sharma Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Youth Services and Sports, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and Agricultural Production, Ajay Nanda MoS Finance, Planning, IT Law Justice, FCA&CS, Tribal Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation, Labour and Employment, Sukhnandan Chowdhary Ex-Minister PHE Irrigation and Flood Control and Yudhveer Sethi Vice President State BJP were the Guests of Honour while Tahir Chowdhry State Convener Human Rights Commission, Pradeep Sharma President Shalimar Traders Association and Arun Sharma Co-convenor were the Special Invitees.
MLA Jammu east Rajesh Gupta who is the Chairman of the Tournament Organizing Committee along with Rakesh Khanna President/ Organiser and Naresh Dogra welcomed the guests.
The guests lauded the initiative of starting such a tournament in the name of Sher-i-Duggar Pt. Prem Nath Dogra who himself was a sportsman and an avid football player. The guests stressed on the need to have more of such tournaments at Sub District levels also so as to involve the youth of the entire region in the sports activities. The members of the Organizing Committee who were present on the occasion include Naresh Dogra General Secretary State, Rakesh Khanna President, Mohan Lal, F. Sohtra, Gagan Kumar, Arun Jasrotia, S.M Gill, Bharat Bushan and Vikram Singh.
