Bhadarwah, Kishtwar shut over Article 35A; threatens agitation

STATE TIMES NEWS
BHADARWAH: To lodge their resentment against Union and State Government for ‘fiddling’ with Article 35A reportedly on the behest of RSS, Bhadarwah observed a complete shutdown on Saturday after Hurriyat leaders called for Kashmir Bandh against the proposed abrogation of the Article.
According to reports, shops, other business establishments and some private schools of particular community remained closed, however government schools and offices functioned normally and traffic was plied on the roads as usual.
Anjuman Islamia President Bhadarwah, Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh alleged that, State and Central Government instead of making honest efforts to bring peace in the Valley are busy in racking up the issues which hurt the sentiments of Jammu and Kashmir on the behest of RSS backed ideology. This clearly shows that both State and Union Government are hell bent to fulfill RSS agenda, which we will never let happen.
Meanwhile mainstream political parties including National Conference, Congress and CPM are also up in arms against the Coalition Government and have threatened of dire consequences if the said Article is fiddled with.
At Kishtwar, all shops, business establishments, some educational institutions remained closed and transport also remained off the road following the Bandh call given by the Majlis-e-Shoora Kishtwar, who is an amalgam of local Imams and traders of Kishtwar. Reports said that Doda, Gandoh and Thathri also observed complete shutdown on the Bandh call. Meanwhile security forces were put on high alert as extra columns of police and CRPF forces were deployed at all the sensitive places and near Jamia Masjids of Bhadarwah, Doda, Thathri, Gandoh and Kishtwar to thwart any untoward incident.
