JAMMU: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) on Wednesday launched a signature campaign in support of establishment of Shrine Board for Mata Maha Kali Temple (Bawe Wali Mata).
Demanding better facilities for the devotees, Rajeev Charak President BFDC said that State Government deliberately ignored the demand.
“We have been demanding Shrine Board for Mata Maha Kali Temple for developing facilities as well as Bawe Wali Mata Temple since 1997 but the all successive government has so far has paid no heed to the matter,” he alleged. Charak appealed to the Governor, N.N Vohra to look into the matter and constitute Shrine Board so that the development works could take place and Bawe Wali Mata Mandir becomes an attractive tourist place at the earliest. He also informed that BFDC will hold 72-hour Dharana in support of Shrine Board at Maharaja Hari Singh Chowk, near Tawi Bridge from 4th April. He said signatures obtained on the issue will be forwarded to Governor to urge for his earlier intervention in matter.
