Beti Padao Abhiyan: Gurukul Vidyapeeth reaches out to girl students

JAMMU: Gurukul Vidyapeeth Group of Institutes located near Banur on Chandigarh-Rajpura Road has launched a major education support programme for the girl students of all categories of J and K under ‘Beti Padhao Abhiyan’.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Gurukul Vidyapeeth General Manager, Colonel Narinder Sujlana(Retd) elaborated that those girls whose parents/guardians annual income is less than one lakh and are not central/state government employees are entitled to absolutely free education in any stream in their institutes under this Abhiyan started by Prime Prime Minister Narender Modi. He explained that Dr. Manmohan Kumar Garg, Chairman of Gurukul Vidyapeeth has conveyed that even those boys and girls who do not qualify under this Abhiyan can take admission under a highly discount fee structure including hostel facility. G.S Bhatia, Counselling Executive elucidated that separate quota of seats have been kept for those belonging to minorities, displaced Kashmiri Pandits, wards of refugees who have not been granted statehood.
