CHAMBA: Wrestler Benia Min of J and K Police and Wrestler Parveen Bholla of Chand Roop Akhara Delhi shared the First Chamba Kesari Vishal Dangal 2016 title that took place at Police ground Chamba, here on Tuesday. Both the wrestlers were jointly awarded cash prize of Rs 1,10,000 by the Chief Guest, ASP Chamba Virender Thakur in presence of President J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Dangal was organised by Zila Kushti Sanga Chamba, Himachal Pradesh under the overall supervision of Rajeshawar Singh Thakur, General Secretary and Azam Sheikh.
Second main bout was won by Manna of Zirkapur, Chandigarh who defeated Frooq of Sarore, Jammu. Cash prize of Rs. 31,000 was awarded to winner while runner-up got cash prize of Rs. 20,000. Third bout was won by Nisar of Doda who defeated Gurpreet of Zasihpur, Chandigarh.
Neelam Nayyar, President Municipal Committee Chamba, Pawan Dev, Secretary Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee and Retd SP Prithvi Raj Sharma were the Guests of Honour. DySP Bir Bahadur Singh was also present. The proceedings of the Dangal were conducted by Azam Sheikh and Sagar while welcome address was presented by Rajshawar Singh Thakur. The vote of thanks was presented by Raj Singh Thakur.
