BBIA seeks extension of fiscal incentives to industrial sector under GST regime

JAMMU: A meeting of the Executive Committee members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) was held under its President Lalit Mahajan President, BBIA to discuss the issue in respect of Extension of Present Fiscal Incentives under GST Regime for the survival of industrial sector of J and K.
The participants expressed gratitude to Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu, Finance Minster for raising the major issue related to the Extension of Present Fiscal Incentives for the survival of industrial sector of J and K under GST regime referring to the challenge of continuing exemption for industry.
BIA requested Arun Jaitley, Union Finance Minister, Dr. Haseeb A Drabu, Finance Minister and Chander Parkash, Industries and Commerce Minister that the present Excise Duty Incentive with 100 per cent refund should be continued under the GST regime with the exemption from CGST be extended on the same pattern to the industrial sector with a provision to provide relief to industrial sector for the sale of their products within the States with the remission of SGST.
The meeting was attended by Rahul Bansal, Varun Singla, Ajay Langer, Viraaj Malhota and other Executive Committee Members of the Association.
