Dear Editor,
Banks are concerned about the annual rent of lockers, so they require a fixed amount ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000. The interest earned from this fixed account should be adjusted against the rent, but the banks ask for a savings account having a minimum balance that is more than the annual rent of the locker. Further, the banks don’t accept responsibility for compensation in case of locker burglary. This is gross injustice.
