DODA: Pirates of Chittagong Bangladesh (POCB) registered enthralling 8-wicket win over Manhas Cricket Club (MCC) Thathri in the ongoing All India 11th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2015 played at Sports Stadium Doda.
Sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Bn Doda, J&K Bank, Natnoo Furnishing House Doda and Green Model Higher Sec School Doda, the tournament is being iorganised by Young Star Cricket Club Doda.
Batting first, MCC Thathri set a target of 113 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Sohan Singh was the highest scorer with 58 runs while Sanjay Manhas contributed 12 runs for the team. For POC Bangladesh, Moni-Ruz-Zaman clinched three wickets while Mohammad Balal took two.
In reply, after getting good start for the first wicket, POC Bangladesh chased the target in 10.2 overs for the loss of two wickets. Mohi-Ud-Din Rubel played a winning knock of 51 runs while S.K.M Karimmithu contributed 24 runs. For MCC Thathri, Sohan Singh and Raj Kumar shared one wicket each.
Mohi-Ud-Din Rubel was declared as Man of the Match for his best batting performance who was given prize by Chief Guest Bhupinder Kumar, DDC Doda in presence of SSP Doda, Zahid Manhas, Principal GMHSS Doda, O.P Chandial, EO MC Doda Tariq Mehmood Balwan and other dignitaries.
The match was officiated by Arif ur Rehman from Bangladesh and Sanjay Chouhan as Umpires whereas Salinder Singh Bhaduria acted as Scorer.
