Bali Bhagat inaugurates NTPHC at Mathwar

NAGROTA: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat on Friday inaugurated a New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) at Mathwar and Sub Centre Building at Sarote.
The upgraded Sub Centre building into NTPHC at Mathwar has been constructed with a cost of Rs. 60.30 Lakh.
MLA, Devender Singh Rana, was also present on the occasion.
The minister said the government is making concerted efforts to develop infrastructure in all vital sectors to provide the people with all the requisite necessities for better living conditions.
He said that it is the top priority has been accorded to upgrade the existing health infrastructure, especially in the rural and far-flung areas to ensure availability of better healthcare and diagnostic facilities to the people at their doorstep.
He said the government has taken several measures to augment the health services vis-à-vis streamlining the functioning of the health institutions by rationalizing the staff strength as per the actual workload of the institution.
He also called upon the health functionaries to put in dedicated efforts to provide better Medicare to the people.
Rana said that this upgraded health centre will augment health care facilities in the area and shall help reduce referral cases to other institutions.
Later the minister listened to the problems of the locals on and assured that steps would be taken up to solve the same at the earliest.
He also visited the houses damaged in the recent floods in Sobka (Gharota) and assured the people that they will be compensated as per the norms.
Director Health Services, SDM North, CMO Jammu, Senior functionaries of PHE, Health & Medical department, JKPCC, PWD(R&B) and large number of prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
