Balbir briefed about 75 fresh loan cases of Jammu

JAMMU: The Jammu District Office of Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation has received 75 fresh applications for securing loan under different categories from unemployed people residing in different areas of Jammu District and their cases are being processed.
This was informed to Vice- Chairperson of the Corporation, Balbir Ram Rattan, during a review meeting of the aforesaid District with District Manager Joginder Paul Atri and Junior Assistant Anil Harkar.
Giving details of the fresh applications received for availing financial assistance in the form of loan from members of reserved categories, the Vice-Chairperson was informed that out of a total of 75 fresh applicants, 46 belonged to Scheduled Caste category, 15 are from Scheduled Tribe community, 5 from Backward Classes, 2 from Safai Karamchari category, 4 from Disabled Persons Class who have applied for setting up of own small units and 1 applicant has sought Education Loan. These people have opted for setting up of different units to earn livelihood and the counselling has been fixed on May 25, where all the 75 applicants have been called. This will be followed by submission of formalities from the selected ones and finally the loan will be sanctioned in their favour.
Balbir Ram Rattan, on this occasion, stressed upon the District Manager to ensure that the entire exercise is completed within minimum time and is hassle free manners. He also asked the DM to go for awareness camps in near future in rural areas so that Corporation schemes are taken to each and every place.
