Bail denied in rape case

JAMMU: Third Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Kishore Kumar rejected the bail application of Sunil Kumar, son of Chaman Lal, resident of Chanu Chak, Jammu who was allegedly involved in rape case.
According to the police case, during the night of 2nd November 2014, accused kidnapped prosecutrix (Aged 16 years) after luring her. He took the prosecutrix to Mendhar, where he kept her in a rented accommodation and committed rape. The very next day, accused brought her back to his village at Chanu Chak and kept her in a room of the school building for 6/7 days and committed rape. On 13th December 2014, police recovered the prosecutrix from the possession of accused from Janipur. Third Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Kishore Kumar after hearing Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Vijay Kumar for the State whereas Advocate Roop Lal for the accused observed that offences allegedly committed by the accused carry punishment not less than ten years and may extend to life imprisonment.
“The offences are serious in nature and threat to the society as a whole”, the court added. With these observations Court rejected the bail application.
