JAMMU: Baba Amarnath and Buda Amarnath (BABA) Yatri Niyas hailed the decision of the State Government regarding non-levy of toll tax on vehicles carrying Langar material in Lakhanpur.
In the connection, a meeting of Executive Committee of BABA Yatri Niyas was held under its President, Surinder Mohan Aggarwal here on Monday.
Aggarwal expressed gratitude to the Deputy Chief Minister for taking initiative in this regard. He welcomed the decision of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board for opening of one more current registration centre at Geeta Bhawan. He reiterated its demand of reviving current registration counter which was already functioning in Shakti Ashram, Old Rehari Jammu.
Aggarwal also appreciated the action of the SASB in getting the clearance of path from Baltal to Cave and Chandanwari to Cave and hoped that the path shall be clear before the start of the Yatra.
Karan Singh Charak, Sudershan Khajuria, Shakti Dutt Sharma, Dr. V.K Gupta, Vipan Mittal, Hardeep Aggarwal, Bal Krishan Gupta, Deepak Sharma and Vijay Pehalwan were present in the meeting.
