SRINAGAR: The Cabinet on Thursday accorded sanction to the promotion of B.R Sharma, IAS (JK:84), Principal Secretary Planning and Development Department to the fixed scale of IAS (Rs. 80,000) from the date Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, IAS (JK:82) demits office as Financial Commissioner, Industries and Commerce Department. Consequent upon his promotion to the fixed scale of IAS, B. R. Sharma IAS shall be designated as Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development Department.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet also accorded sanction to the counting of past service, rendered by the migrant substitutes prior to their regularisation, for the purpose of pensionary benefits only, provided that the total qualifying service shall not exceed 28 years
