SRINAGAR: Chairman Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to ensure essentials like electricity and ration in the snow affected areas and stressed the need for additional relief to mitigate the impact of snow on vulnerable communities.
“I am delighted that snow has arrived; people were eagerly anticipating it. However, the government must ensure proper arrangements to navigate its effects”, Azad said while interacting with various deputations at the party headquarters here.
He listened to their grievances and issues raised individually and collectively, assuring that these issues would be taken up at appropriate forums.
Simultaneously, numerous activists from various parties joined DPAP, pledging to strengthen the party and intensify public outreach programme. Among others present on the occasion included Mohd Amin Bhatt, Provincial President; Peer Bilal, Zonal President; Amir Bhatt, Distt President; Shafiq Shabnam Provincial General Secretary; Umar Kakroo, former Chairman MC Baramulla and others.
