Awareness on financial inclusion imparted

RAJOURI: The District Development Manager, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Rajouri/Poonch organised an awareness programme on Financial Inclusion at village Ganya, block Nowshera district Rajouri.
The awareness programme was attended by Sukhdev Singh, Sarpanch, Panchyat Ganya, Ashok Kumar, Branch Manager, J and K Bank, Chowki Handan Meenakhi, Fellow, PMRDF, Sr. Little Therese, President, CMC- Santhom Social Service Society, Nowshera and field staff of the society and large number of villagers from village Ganya. Des Raj District Development Manager, NABARD, Rajouri/Poonch explained the participants the objective of organising an awareness programme on Financial Inclusion. He highlighted the Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna (PMJJBY), Pradan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Scheme (APS). He explained all the three schemes in detail and motivated the participants to spread the message among the public in their areas.
Des Raj also highlighted NABARD schemes viz. Self Help Groups Scheme (SHGs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGS) and Farmers’ Club. He motivate the villagers to form Self Help Groups Scheme (SHGS), Joint Liability Groups (JLGS) and Farmers’ Club in their village.
Meenakshi, in her address explained the participants that Self Help Groups Scheme (SHGS) and Joint liability Groups Scheme (JLGS) are the tools of development.
Ashok Kumar, Manager, J&K Bank, Chowki Handan explained different schemes of their bank and motivated the participants to open an account with the bank.
Sr. Little Therese, President, CMC- Santhom Social Service Society, Nowshera explained the participants that their society is engaged in formation of Self Help Groups Scheme (SHGs) and Joint liability Goups (JLGS) in block Nowshera and is implementing NABARD project in formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) in block Nowshera.
Sukhdev Singh, Sarpanch, Panchyat, Ganya appreciated the NABARD for oganising such awareness camp.
