UDHAMPUR: Expressing dismay over the stoppage of Amarnath Yatra and manhandling with Yatris in the Kashmir Valley by some anti India and anti social elements, hundreds of Panther Party activists led by Balwant Singh Mankotia President JKNPP took out a protest rally from Slathia Chowk to MS Chowk National Highway via Mukherjee Bazar-Court Road-Gole Market. The angry protestors also blocked Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for more than two hours in front of XEn PHE Office resulting in heavy traffic jam in city area.
While addressing the gathering Mankotia blame BJP-PDP Govt for their complete failure to provide security cover to Amarnath Yatra in the Kashmir Valley resulting in many Yatris getting serious injuries while hundreds of vehicles were broken by stone pelters in Valley. Mankotia said that State Government had released 634 store pelters three days back in the Valley which is root cause of stone pelting on Amarnath Yatris. He further said that State Government is encouraging the stone pelters and anti-national elements in the Valley which is not in the interest of nation.
Mankotia warned that if State Government fails to restore Amarnath Yatra with full security cover by tomorrow morning, Panthers Party will start state wide agitation against the State Government.
