JAMMU: Assistant Professor, Government College of Education, Canal Road, Jammu was caught red handed on Friday for demanding bribe from a student for approving M Ed Synopsis.
On the receipt of a complaint that Ashu Jolly, Assistant Professor, College of Education, Canal Road, Jammu has demanded Rs. 10,000 in two installments of Rs. 5000 each as gratification from a student for approving M. Ed Synopsis wherein the complainant averred that today she is going to pay Rs. 5000 to the aforesaid Assistant Professor under compelling circumstances.
Accordingly, a team of State Vigilance Organization Jammu was constituted to lay the trap. The accused, Ashu Jolly, Assistant Professor, College of Education, Canal Road, Jammu was caught red handed while demanding, accepting a bribe of Rs. 5000 from the complainant in presence of independent witnesses.
FIR 25/2016 has been registered under relevant sections of law against the accused person and further investigation is going on.
