Manik Batra to chair J&K, Gelek Phunchuk for Ladakh

JAMMU: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) on Monday announced the appointment of its new office bearers for the Northern Region and various states for the current financial year. These appointments underscore ASSOCHAM’s commitment to fostering regional development and enhancing the business environment across the northern states and union territories.
The newly appointed office bearers are distinguished leaders from various industries, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in their respective domains.
Manik Batra, Director Batra Group has been reappointed as Chairman of the J&K UT Development Council, along with Bhupesh Gupta, Managing Partner, Radisson Blu Jammu as Co-Chairman. The leadership will work together to enhance business opportunities and economic development in Jammu & Kashmir.
Similarly, Gelek Phunchuk, heading the organization – Pro Environs, has been appointed as Chairman Ladakh UT Development Council. He will spearhead initiatives in Ladakh to tap into the region’s unique potential. The North Regional Council of ASSOCHAM will be chaired by Kulwin Seehra, Executive Director, GNA Axles.
Rakesh Bhalla, CFO, SML ISUZU Limited has been reappointed as Chairman, ASSOCHAM Chandigarh UT Development Council and Drishmeet Singh Buttar, Managing Partner, Healing Hospital – Super Speciality Hospital, Chandigarh as Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM Chandigarh UT Development Council. ASSOCHAM appointed Vijay Sharma, Director, Jindal Stainless as Chairman, ASSOCHAM Haryana State Development Council. Jyoti Prakash Gadia, Managing Director, Resurgent India Limited and P. K. Jain, CEO, TCI Global (A DIV of TCI LTD) & Group HR & Admin Head, TCIL, both will be Co-Chair, ASSOCHAM Haryana State Development Council. Suresh Garg, Chairman and Managing Director, Zeon Lifesciences Ltd has been appointed as Chairman, ASSOCHAM Himachal State Development Council. ASSOCHAM appointed Abhi Bansal, Director, Saraswati Group Of Companies as Chairman, ASSOCHAM Punjab State Development Council and Iqbal Cheema, Executive Director, Punjab Film City as Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM Punjab State Development Council. These leaders will play a crucial role in driving ASSOCHAM’s initiatives in their respective regions, promoting investment, fostering industrial growth, and facilitating dialogue between the government and industry stakeholders.
