JAMMU: The stand of J and K High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA), Jammu stood vindicated on Friday when the assaulters of Advocate Dr. Paramjit Singh Khera, and their relatives publicly apologised.

While speaking to media persons, President JKHCBA, Jammu, Advocate Abhinav Sharma said, “In view of abduction and assault of one of the members of JKHCBA, Jammu, an FIR was registered with Police Station Bakshi Nagar, Jammu on 20th April 2015. JKHCBA, Jammu has suspended the work and the bail application was also opposed by the office bearers of JKHCBA, Jammu which was ultimately rejected by the Ld. Excise Magistrate, Jammu.”

However, in view of recent development where an unconditional apology was tendered by the assaulters to the complainant (Advocate Dr. Paramjit Singh Khera) and the acceptance of the same by complainant, the executive members of the JKHCBA, Jammu, felt that the stand of JKHCBA, Jammu stood vindicated in the process.  “Even public apology was also tendered which was accepted by the complainant as per decision of Executive Committee. Therefore, the issue stands resolved. The law would take its own course, in view of an unconditional apology tendered by the accused persons and the acceptance of the same by complainant”, Abhinav maintained.
