ASKPC expresses concern over political developments

JAMMU: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) took stock of political developments in the State, especially Kashmir Valley at a meeting held here on Monday.
President Advocate Ravinder Raina expressed serious concern over the recent statements of some political leaders who while out of power come out with terrorists and militants friendly statements and shamelessly take side of unsocial elements.
“Former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has described militant outfit Hizb as an association of Kashmiris seeking a political solution to Kashmir problem is ridiculous and one wonders upon his irrational statement when Hizb is Pakistan’s patronage funded and ISI supported terrorist group having ventured destruction and devastation in Kashmir Valley. His Hizb supportive statement makes one to feel constrained if he has any relation with the outfit,” he asserted.
Raina wondered at the statement given by the former Chief Minister who had sworn by the Constitution of India and coming in praises for both the Hizbullah as well as misguided and indoctrinated Kashmiri gun toting youths.
Dr T.K Bhat, General Secretary, ASKPC in his address said that for peace loving citizens of the State and the countrymen, anyone holding gun and practising terror is India’s enemy, whether he belongs to Musa’s Al Qaeda or Hizbullah Mujahid Terror Group.
C.L Bhat, Vice President, ASKPC said that need of the hour is that good sense should prevail upon the main stream political leaders to desist from speaking anti-India language and instead organise their political activities to counter Jehadis and anti-India forces which currently are ruling the roost in few districts of Valley.
Prof Satesh Bhan, Vice President, was critical of the statement of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that tinkering with Article 35 A would ultimately lead to non-giving shoulder to the Tricolor. By this she has distanced her loyalty to the nation while gaining no apparent sympathy from anti-Indian forces, he added. Others who spoke in the meeting include R.K Wangnoo, Senior Vice President, Veena Gurtoo Women Wing President; Ravi Raina – Youth President, B.L Handoo and S.K Raina.
