Asiea directs for time bound completion of housing projects

JAMMU: Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Asiea Naqash today inspected the ongoing works of residential projects in Muthi, Shahidi Chowk, Bhagwati Nagar, Kot Bhalwal.
While inspecting Residential Colonies at Muthi, the minister was informed that as many as 508 flats are at different stages of completion and works are apace to complete the project in time. She directed the concerned executing agencies to strictly adhere to timelines fixed for completion of the project.
The minister was also apprised that 409 plots in Kot Bhalwal have been allotted to the needy families and adequate provisions have been kept for facilities like primary health centre, school, market and accommodation for security personnel in the colony.
During her visit to the Bhagati Nagar area, the minister was apprised by local people regarding the problem of water logging during rainy days. The minister directed the concerned authorities to take adequate steps to mitigate the problems of the people and also to take up a cleanliness drive in the area.
While inspecting the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) at Bhaghwati Nagar, the minister was informed that Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for upgradation of STP has already been submitted to the Central Government for release of funds.
The minister also reviewed the Tawi River Front Development project and directed the concerned authorities to ensure proper beautification of the park.
The minister was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, JDA Mubarak Singh, Joint Commissioner, JMC, Kushal Chand, Chief Engineer UEED Naresh Langay and other concerned officers.
