JAMMU: ASCOMS and Hospital on Tuesday organised a free orthopaedic camp at Dak Banglow Pandori (Bishnah) here.
The camp was inaugurated by Ashwani Sharma, ex-MLA Bishnah and Dr Pawan Malhotra, Principal Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital. The camp was organised as a part of Bone and Joint Day celebration which falls on 4th august. The week long activities to celebrate Bone and Joint Day all over India with effect from July 31 to August 6 will include free medical camps, free orthopaedic surgery, BMD camps and road safety awareness camps. More than 150 patients with bone and joint problems were examined in the camp and were given free treatment, including medicines. The patients requiring surgery were identified and will be operated free. The camp was organised under the supervision of Dr Rajesh Gupta, Prof and Head Orthopaedics.
The other doctors who lent their services included Dr. G.L Dogra, Incharge Rural Health Centre, Bishnah (ASCOMS) , Dr Sunny Sharma, Dr Virenpal Singh, Dr. Judat Tasawoor, Dr Moeiz Dijoo and Dr. Sorabinder Singh. The camp was coordinated by Vishal Pathania, Marketing and Liaison Manager.
