KATHUA: BJP State General Secretary and MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia strongly reacted to some sort of a “misinformation campaign” launched regarding the shelving of the artificial lake project in Jammu, which he said, was totally ‘false and baseless’ asserting that BJP is committed for creation of the lake.
“While creation of artificial lake on Tawi River in Jammu had been delayed by the previous NC-Congress Government, the BJP stands for its early completion,” Jasrotia
said while addressing public meeting in his constituency.
Jasrotia maintained that the artificial lake was a dream project of the people of Jammu and that the Centre has assured its help in ironing out the technical problems.
Rumours are being spread to create controversy and disturb law and order over the issues said Jasrotia adding that BJP will never compromise in addressing the aspirations of people of Jammu region.
He termed the reports as misconceived and totally incorrect and maintained that government will never take any step to hurt the feelings and sentiments of people of three regions of the State.
Jasrotia further said, “This issue is before our party and our government. Party leaders have met with the central leaders on the issue along with the group of State ministers, and we are very confident that such an institution will be granted to Jammu and will come up here with such a facility”.
