Art-370 barrier for emotional integration of Kashmir with India: PK

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Article 370 is a barrier and not a bridge for Kashmir with the rest of India, said President Panun Kashmir, Vijay Bhat at a meeting held here on Monday.
Bhat said that the only barrier between the State and Centre is Article 370 which should be scrapped as soon as possible. He slammed Mehbooba Mufti for referring the integration of J and K with rest of India only technical and not emotional and psychological integration.
Convenor PK, Ravinder Jalali said that it is the habit with the Kashmir centric leadership to create doubts among the common masses by giving vague and camouflaged statements like “J and K is part of India and had integrated only technically but lacks emotional integration”.
Panun Kashmir expressed surprise over the new terminology used by Mehbooba.
“Earlier it was NC which used to say that the there is accession only but not merger. Now the Mehbooba has coined another term as technical and emotional,” said Ravinder Jalali. He advised Chief Minister to work for the early revocation of Article 370 to ensure full integration on technical as well as on emotional grounds so that the people of Kashmir no longer feel alienated.
Article 370, included in the Constitution on a temporary provision, should have been gradually abrogated. This has not happened in sixty nine years. In fact whenever someone mentions this, vested interests raise an outcry that legitimate rights of Kashmiris are being trampled upon. Recent, Supreme Court verdict on SARFAECI Act should be an eye opener for all those pseudo national parties and politicians who raise controversial and unnecessary issues.
Bhat said that the State is already integrated completely with rest of India and it is Kashmir centric leadership, who emotionally blackmail some section of people of Kashmir, hence to satisfy the emotional urge of those sections the article needs to be revoked.
