UDHAMPUR: A meeting to discuss the arrangements for Republic Day celebrations was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Vikas Sharma on Monday.
It was informed that the day would start with playing of Shehnai Vadan by the District Information Centre, followed by hoisting of flag at PG Degree College for Boys, Udhampur and march past by the contingents of District Police, SKPA, Forest Protection Force, NCC and school children of various educational institutions. Cultural programmes by school students would also be presented on the occasion.
The meeting also held threadbare discussions on various issues like seating arrangements, barricading, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first- aid, security, transport and traffic.
ADC directed the concerned officers to ensure better coordination for making adequate arrangements well in time.
The meeting was attended by officers of various departments.
KATHUA: District Development Commissioner, Kathua Shahid Iqbal Choudhary convened a meeting of officers to discuss the arrangements for Republic Day celebrations.
It was informed during the meeting that the day will start with playing of Shehnai Vadan by Information Department in the wee hours and the National Flag will be unfurled by the VIP at 10 AM. The contingents from CRPF, District Police, Forest Protection Force, NSS, NCC and students from government/private schools will participate in the march past and the cultural programmes by school children will also be presented on the occasion.
Chief Planning Officer, Kathua, Tehsildar Kathua, Executive Engineers of various departments, officers from police, CRPF, fire Services, traffic and principals of government/private educational institutions were present in the meeting.
RAJOURI: Arrangements for Republic Day celebrations were discussed in a meeting convened under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Jatindra Kumar Singh.
Various arrangements regarding barricading, security and traffic regulation, drinking water, power supply, sanitation, first aid, installation of PAS, deployment of buses and fire tenders etc were discussed comprehensively during the meeting.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Vir ji Hangloo, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Saleem Malik, SSP Dr. Haseeb Mughal, ACR S.S Sambyal, seniors officers of Army, BSF, were present in the meeting.
