NAGROTA: Army Recruiting Office, Jammu under Headquarters Recruiting Zone (Punjab and J and K), Jalandhar Cantonment organised an army open recruitment rally at Nagrota from 29th October 2014 onwards with the support of civil administration for prospective candidates of eight districts of J and K i.e Samba, Kathua, Jammu, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Udhampur and Reasi. Around 23,000 candidates have been screened and medical examination of successfully screened candidates is under progress. Written examination of successful candidates would be held at Sainik School Ground, Nagrota (Jammu) on 30th November 2014. Candidates who have been referred to Military Hospitals for review medical are required to immediately report to Army Recruiting Office, Jammu on being declared medically fit by the Military Hospitals for issuance of admit card for subsequent written examination.
The overall participation of the candidates has been increased and it is very encouraging to see the people of J and K forthcoming in strength to participate in the recruitment rally and serve the nation. The hard work put in by each candidate to give his best can be seen from their participation and preparation.
In addition to this rally, a separate rally for candidates of Poonch and Rajouri Districts has been planned at ALG Ground, Rajouri from 19th to 23rd November 2014.
It is to inform the general public that recruitment in the Army is completely free service and anyone and everyone who meets the eligibility criteria can participate in the open rally.
