POONCH: Continuing with the Indian Army’s drive for improvement of educational facilities in remote areas of the Jammu and Kashmir under the Sadbhavana initiative, army unit under Bhimber Gali Brigade distributed computers to Government Middle School, Parihali recently. The idea of this project was conceived during one of the regular interactions with village Numberdars and elders at Tarkundi Gali.
The Commanding Officer of Gambhir Battalion in his address stressed upon the requirement of modern teaching aids including computers in the schools, which will help in the progressive development of students. He reiterated that Indian Army has always been striving hard in its effort towards development of border villages so as to shape the future of students. The villagers and the school authorities appreciated the efforts of the army for encouraging students by providing computers to the school which will help them to gain technical knowhow and will improve Information Technology literacy in the region.
