Army organises Volleyball tourney in Rajouri

RAJOURI: A good number of 12 teams in men and six others in women section turned up for participation in an open volleyball tournament, organised by the Indian Army in support with J&K Sports Council and Volleyball Association of J&K at Manjakote.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Lt Col DK Singh, 155 TA JAK RIF/ 13 Sector RR / CIF Romeo Force with the sole motive to
engage the youth in constructive activities thus staying them away from drugs and other unlawful activities.
Principal of the Government Higher Secondary Manjakote, Mohd Maqbool was the chief guest, who appreciated the efforts of Indian Army (155 TA JAK RIF) in engaging the youth. She was all praise for incharge Rajouri Volleyball Association, Mohd Tariq for promoting the game of Volleyball in twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
Also present were Rashid Khan, Imtaiz Ahmed and Shabir Khan. Today’s matches officiated by the technical penal including Intazar Ali, Ikhlaq Ahmed, Shabir khan, Rashid Khan, Shakeel Khan,Jameel Ahmed and Shabir Ahmed.
The Results: Saroola Volleyball Club bt Higher Secondary School Dehrilerote 2:0; Higher Secondary School Manjakote bt Old Star Club 2:1; Peerpanjal bt Rissing Star 2:1; Hill Star bt Panjgharie 2:0; Peerpanjal Club bt Manjakote Club 2:1.
