RAJOURI: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under Romeo Force, organised a blood donation and medical awareness camp at Keri with active co-operation from Blood Bank of District Hospital, Rajouri and District Medical Authorities.
In all 38 units of blood were donated by the army and civilians during the camp. Locals of Rajouri District actively participated in the programme. Many dignitaries from the civil administration also attended the function.
Besides, a skit by Shivani Cultural Society, Jammu was also organised on the awareness of blood donation and health and hygiene.
Sadiq Khan, Assistant Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri delivered a lecture on blood donation and distributed prizes to the skit participants. The impact generated by the event amongst the locals is humongous and such events will go a long way in encouraging the people towards awareness of blood donation.
